Answering Questions from the Best.

What do you do for money Honey?

Well AC/DC, I consider myself extremely lucky because I have two awesome jobs.

Job #1
I am working for Ford as a field
marketer. I have the opportunity to go to all the BYU football games, tailgate before the game, talk to tons of people, give out free stuff, and get into the game... Oh and I get paid for this. Basically I have to work 3 days in a month and rent, utilities, and food is paid for. I love job #1!

Job #2 is a little more consistent. I am a tutor/mentor at Springville High School. I do everything from helping my students apply to college to helping them with their class assignments. job #2 is extremely rewarding.

The Clash brought up another good question. "Should I stay or should I go?"

Ummm I have a problem deciding. I asked myself that when I was living at home with my parents. I chose to go. I ask myself that in every relationship. I usually choose to stay... then I change my mind and choose to go. I am currently asking myself about that concerning traveling to my native Bolivia. I want to go, but I should probably stay and finish school. Thanks a lot Joe Strummer.

"Where is my mind?"

Well 'the' Pixies, its not in the gutter. It's actually in textbooks and on the virtual world of blackboard. Okay thats kind of a lie. My mind is on my future. My future career, my future car, my future house and definitely my future family. My mind is also on the plans I have this weekend. Somedays my mind can be in the far future; other days I simply can't see past Friday night.

Taylor Swift, "I heart ?" is completely true.
I feel like I change my mind
every five seconds. Not good. And that is all I have to say about that.

... If you're a little slow, or just couldn't tell, I made references to the following superior songs and talented musicians:
"What do You do for Money Honey?" -AC/DC
"Should I Stay or Should I Go" -The Clash
"Where is My Mind" -The Pixies
"I Heart ?" -Taylor Swift

kloveyoubye!

Music Gods

I have had the privilege, no, the honor, of being surrounded by extremely talented musicians lately. It is a talent that I have grown to LOVE. It is also a talent that I have never developed. Thats okay, because it makes me appreciate music that much more.

Last night my roomies and I went over to our friend Collin's house. I think we all fell in love. He is extremely talented... in everything. His fingers moved so fast on the electric guitar, his pace was perfect on the keyboard and don't get me started on the drums! All his equipment was intense too. don't worry, all his talent and equipment is being put to good use, cause he is in a band. They are currently between names right now... but just expect good stuff from them. My other close friend is named Brandon. He plays drums for 5 million bands and manages 3 million of them. That man knows his stuff! If you have a band... and you know him, then yall need to consider yourselves lucky. ummmm Jarrett Burns - This Life. Listen to it NOW! Brandon plays and manages them too. Wow, what an underachiever.

*confession* I used to be musically challenged.. a bit. But certain people in my life taught me about this whole other world of music. I recommend you explore it. Anyway...

A few days ago my roomies and I went to see one of our favorite local bands, Truman, play at
Velour (an awesome music venue a block from our house). They put on a great show. I know I was on my feet singing and dancing! I got the chance to meet some new people. Among them was Lindsey Stirling, the amazing hip-hop violinist. Not only is she such a sweetheart but she is also ridiculously talented. Youtube her. Now. I also had the chance to meet an underground music journalist who is currently working on a piece about the 'Velour music scene.' I am totally spacing his name right now... I'll add it in when my memory decides to be friends with me again.

I also had the opportunity to see and talk to some old friends. (the following will be a hard core run-on sentence.. sorry) Turns out my friend Nate, who is the lead singer of the band Vona in which my previous lover Zach plays in, was the drummer for Truman in which my other friend Brandon played drums for before Nate who is friends with the journalist who was interviewing me concerning Velour and the music scene which my roomies Cassidy and Brittany were attending with me who are also close friends with Brandon, who is setting up a show for Lindsey, the violinist, who we met at Velour.

Did that make any sense?

What a small world. One thing we know is that music (no, GOOD music) can brings us all together in ways we didn't think....

Easy on the Soul Holmes.

Forrrreal.

Okay. I am starting this blog for 3 reasons.

1. I have moved on with my life and I want you to come with me on my journey for questions (yes questions) and answers.

2. If you could take a field trip inside my head, you would see an audience of Andrea's watching my life on the big screen: Laughing at every bad joke, 'awwwing' at every kiss, crying at every heartbreak, and clapping at the achievements. No one on the outside has seen this show like the audience in my head has and with this blog you will have front row seats. This will be where the dumpage of my brain occurs.

3. I am always cooking up theories in my head. Theories about everything from sports, finance, pop culture, politics, the economy, and the human mind and soul. I have dreams to change this World. I know I will; these theories are key. I want you to come along for the ride.

Un besito,
Andrea
